Scott celebrated the closing of the last great record store on the planet (Village Music, Mill Valley, CA) by partaking in a marathon 24 hour goodbye party with D J Shadow spinning vinyl and Scott w/ pal Austin DeLone singing songs. A sense of loss and the reality of a new world without record stores was deeply felt. No record store in history has had the in-store shows (always free, complete with huge BBQ platters) that the amazing John Goddard provided. Scott has performed with and enjoyed some of the coolest and most intimate shows ever given by legendary artists of all eras. Village Music won't be forgotten.
TikiTown took possession of a lovely new seven foot Steinway grand piano so Scott is now doubling most piano parts on it and the Steinway baby grand. The combined effect is huge!
The great Al Anderson (ex-NRBQ) came by for some songwriting sessions with Scott - the results of which are nothing short of timeless classics for the masses.
Ron Nagle continued working with Scott on another couple of spectacular sessions.
Scott produced several songs for a new vocal group based out of Korea, New York and Las Vegas (and sounds like it!) named WIN that blends opera and pop in a unique way. A deal with Universal Music has been signed and plans are for the group to focus on Korea and Japan for their first tour.
