You might say Scott Mathews hit the ground running as October rolled around but he was actually hopping. A supergroup of sorts named The Legendary Trainhoppers from Ft. Wayne, IN made a quick stop at TikiTown for a whirlwind series of sessions for their debut release on Monkey Wings Records. Scott Mathews' approach for this record was the 'first thought - right thought' theory and it worked like a charm. Everybody felt the creative buzz and nobody held back. The result is a fantastic piece of work by the eight piece band, done in a week's time. Upon hopping their outbound train, they told Scott to put on any other ideas he had in mind to fill out the record. The following week was made up of just that - Scott played a plethora of instruments and sang bits and pieces. Monkey Wings President Jeff Britton (who was on the scene for the recordings when he wasn't on the Hit or Myth yacht in Sausalito, exclaimed; "When I began this whole thing, I believed in our artists and I hoped for the best. Now hearing this record, I know we have a real, full-fledged record company. I hear hits!"

Jeff then brought in a young woman that has been working on her music practically all of her life and now at the age of 21, she is ready to bring it to the world. Her name is Lydia Brown and her style is pure and heart warming. She has three distinctively different projects she has been working on and the ambitious approach the label is taking is to finish all three records featuring her in different settings. Her unique quality of angelic singing brings continuity to each project - one is a singer/songwriter type setting that is all her own, another is a world music project that brings fantastic musicians and singers from all over the world, and last but not least is a sacred project bringing deep, faith based devotion to her music. Scott produced some vocals with her and presented the final mixes of all three projects to the artist and label.

Long time friend and recording artist Steve Woodhams made an appearance at TikiTown to continue his seemingly endless recordings of his prolific songwriting. Steve has been selling several thousand downloads from iTunes and building a huge fan base with the help of some influential radio stations. Still he's a family man with no intentions of touring. Priorities are important.
