Ah, the South of France - nothing quite like it. While Scott's son Will took in the 100th anniversary of Boy Scouts in England for a couple weeks, Scott's wife Kolleen and daughter Ava did the French connection. While having fun in the sun, restaurants and museums, Scott found a group in Nice by the name of Shudderwall that was indeed very nice. Comprised of two brothers and a sister, this trio who sings in English has a broad appeal and were amazing people that were hard to say au revoir to.

Getting back from such a trip was so exhausting that a vacation was in order. So the Mathews did their bi-annual trip to Squaw Valley, CA and cooled out before the idea of schools and schedules were a reality.
