Scott Mathews Rocked the Fort!
Scott Mathews was in Fort Wayne for a whole week. At first we thought he just might not have anything to do - why come here? But he liked us, he really liked us. Work began on the production of 4 awesome bands at Monastic Chamber Recording Studio... Otherwise known as tiki (small "t") East (for one week anyway) and Fort Wayne will not soon forget Scott's energy or enthusiastic work here.
The Mooncrickets were the first over the wall. We couldn't decide if the wuggidy wuggidy wheels would stay on that particular carnival ride known as "In The Meantime" or if they'd fly right off. Scott Mathews used some kind of magic duct tape to hold 'em on. Amazing! Pheen and phuture Pheenatics may run to get TikiTown tats on their tushes after they hear the Tiki tracks. And the Legendary Trainhoppers? Their showcase proved they were not just legends in their own minds, but may make more big smoke than the Wabash Cannon Ball.
Over 200 musicians attended Monkey Wings Records "Pipeline" event.
Three musicians had to be hospitalized when their lips were actually torn from their faces trying to sip from the high pressure pipeline, otherwise known as Scott. Freudian references aside, the fast paced week of recording, meeting artists, public events and a party/showcase deep in the primordial forest of Northern Indiana, meant day after day Scott Mathews got rode hard, was put away wet, but was always up for the occasion. Freud again, I fear.
Everyone in the Fort, Whatzup Mag, Public Radio, Monkey Wings, X102, the Fort Wayne music community, Shaggy, and especially the Moon Crickets and Monkey Wings (Jeff, Jon, Randy) want to send their thanks and best wishes.
The consensus is, 'Scotty was the best thing ever to happen to Fort Wayne music.'

President and CEO of Monkey Wings Records, Inc.
