At the beginning of the month, a short break was called to recharge some batteries on the OUTVILE project. Scott Mathews took off to play with friends Billy Gibbons, Steve Miller and other blues boys. Billy sketched some original art for TikiTown which is as amazing as his playing and beard.

OUTVILE returned to TikiTown refreshed and began more intense recordings.

Brian Wilson and Scott Mathews collaborated on a piece that will be featured in Song Writer’s Market in 2007 from Reader’s Digest Books. Brian was incredibly open, funny and honest, telling of some never before known “secret sauces” he used for classic Beach Boys records, and some deep thoughts about where he is at today. This is one of the all-time revealing glances into Brian Wilson, the man and the music. The relationship Scott and Brian have is evident in the overall depth of this piece. Book stores and libraries all over the world should have it near the end of 2006.
