The 1st of April found Scott Mathews producing a band consisting of two brothers (age 17 and 26) from the Ukraine. No fooling! The band is called ‘Outvile’ and their music contains influences that only they would know because until very recently, music was not allowed into their country if it came from outside their borders. Describing the project is very difficult to put in words for Scott but he wrote the Ukrainian Embassy to request papers that resulted in them getting visas and into America, so he must know which words to use! The CD will be a 3 month long recording and will be like nothing ever heard before. Scott Mathews spoke a little about the project: “Name the last band you heard from there? That region of the world has the population of 1/6 of the entire planet. How many recording artists have ever been heard worldwide from that region? This is a very important record on a lot of levels. These guys are the most determined, hard working, single purpose guys I have met – maybe ever in my entire career! It’s wild!!”
